REPERTOIRE
Violin Concerto
This summer I started working on some melodic concepts and after getting comfortable with MakeMusic's Finale 2010, I wrote my own Violin Concerto (appropriately named the Otwell Violin Concerto in A). It is a three movement concerto crafted in the standard model of fast, slow, fast. It is a tonal work which essentially means that you could end up "humming" the melodies. Furthermore, it is a true concerto which requires more than a couple of read throughs. This is a work which requires many practice sessions of impressioning, technical mastery, and memory commitments.
I have considered publishing my concerto but at this time I am ambivalent about doing so. This concerto was "written by me, for me" as a performance opportunity in the classical music market. If others are interested in playing it I might consider a publication.
Solo and Accompanied Works
I have completed several works for Violin Solo and Violin + Piano. These works have been placed into my permanent repertoire library and will be used for future public performances. Someday these works will be published and available to the public. For the interim, they will be exclusively available through my own public performances. Please check my performance schedule to find the next appearance near you.
